JES has become an internationally known for her emotionally-charged and often weighty lyrics, but she masters a dazzling new sound on her new track “The One” in collaboration with all-star producers JS16 and Joonas Hahmo releasing through Enhanced Music. There is always magic in the air when Germany’s most successful trance DJ Duo and producers Cosmic Gate get together in the studio with acclaimed singer and songwriter JES. Their dazzling singles “Flying Blind” (2012) and „Yai (Here We Go Again) (2015), racked up millions of Spotify streams and ”Flying Blind“ got also honored with an IDMA Best Trance Track nomination. JES’ new single with the Game Chasers “Carry Me Away” hits all digital portals today exclusively through Black Hole Recordings / Magik Muzik. The follow up to her massive collaboration “Fall Into You” with Cosmic Gate promises to deliver in a big way for both radio and club audiences with a package featuring a pop influenced original mix, a deep house mix and a Markus Schulz trance remix.

The original mix blends an immersive deep house groove with sublime vocals and a sultry saxophone hook for a radio friendly package. Letting the strength of the song lead, the original mix plays on the emotive aspects of JES’ vocals and a rich fusion of genres to bring some fresh energy to the radio format.

The Deeper Mood Mix is the Game Chasers own house rework which takes us straight to the terrace. Raising the intensity to a fever pitch and holding us there for the duration, the Game Chasers hit the day club bulls eye with a straight aiming mix that puts the mesmerizing vocal in the spotlight.

Rounding out the package is a truly uplifting trance remix from the unicorn slayer himself, Markus Schulz. On hearing the original mix Markus immediately requested the vocals to make his own mix. It seems his reaction was spot on with the resulting remix translating the song perfectly into the big room without surrendering any of it’s authenticity.

VEGETARIAN STUFFED CABBAGE

Perfect for having good friends over for dinner, my Vegetarian Stuffed Cabbage has 5-star restaurant taste made easily at home. Bon appétit!

Ingredients:

-1 head cabbage
-1 cup brown lentils
-1 cup vegetable Broth
-3 cups filtered water
-1 cup cooked red quinoa
-1 teaspoon smoked paprika
-1 tablespoon coconut oil
-1 small onion, finely diced
-1 tablespoon cider vinegar
-1/8 cup light olive oil
-1 clove garlic, finely diced
-1 can organic stewed tomatoes
-1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
-2 tablespoons tomato paste
-½ teaspoon dried oregano
-Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1) To make tomato sauce, sauté half the diced onion and garlic in olive oil. When onions are soft add oregano, red wine vinegar, canned stewed tomatoes, and tomato paste. Add salt and pepper to taste and simmer for 15 minutes. Set aside.

2) Bring vegetable broth and 1 cup of water to a boil. Add brown lentils and simmer until cooked 30 min until soft but firm. Set aside.

3) Bring 2 cups water to a boil with quinoa. Simmer until tender and sprouted about 20 minutes. Set aside.

4) In a sauté pan heat the coconut oil and sauté the other half of diced onion until soft. Add in the cooked lentils, cooked quinoa and sauté for 2 minutes. Next, add the cider vinegar, smoked paprika, and salt and pepper to taste. Set aside and allow to cool.

5) Place the head of cabbage in a large pot and fill half way with water. Add ½ teaspoon Himalayan salt and bring to a boil. Then, lower the heat and let the cabbage cook about 15 minutes, turning the cabbage every so often. Next, remove the cabbage from the pot and cool till the leaves become soft. Cut the bottom of the cabbage head where the stalk is thicker, remove the leaves one by one, place on a plate, and get ready to roll!

6) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cover the bottom of a glass baking dish with a nice layer of tomato sauce.

7) Place a cabbage leaf on a cutting board and fill the middle with about 3 tablespoons of the lentil and quinoa mixture. Fold in the sides of the leaf and roll from the front to back. Repeat with as many rolls as you can fit into your baking dish. When finished rolling add the remaining tomato sauce on top of the cabbage and bake for 35 minutes.

8) Remove and enjoy with a nice glass of Beaujolais 😉

SAUTEED SHRIMP WATERCRESS SALAD WITH MANGO, HEARTS OF PALM, AND A CITRUS VINAGERETTE

SAUTEED SHRIMP WATERCRESS SALAD WITH MANGO, HEARTS OF PALM, AND A CITRUS VINAGERETTE

A crisp, light, refreshing salad perfect for weekend brunch or to brighten up your work week!

Salad Ingredients:

-1 bunch fresh watercress, washed with stems cut
-14 shrimp
-1 fresh ripe mango
-1 jar hearts of palm
-1 heirloom tomato

Citrus Vinaigrette Ingredients:

-¼ cup red wine vinegar
-1 tsp oregano
-1 tbsp dijon
-2 tbsp fresh Meyer lemon juice
-½ cup Olive oil
-1 pinch pink salt &
fresh ground pepper

Instructions:

1) Rinse the watercress and removing the stems. Set aside.

2) Clean the shrimp and season lightly with a little salt and pepper.

3) Get a skillet hot with a little light olive oil. Sear the shrimp 2-3 min on each side until pink and fully cooked.

4) Prepare the mango by making thin slices with skin removed. Next, dice the tomatoes and hearts of palm.

5) To prepare the vinegarette, whisk together all dressing ingredients and set aside.

6) In a bowl combine the watercress, tomatoes, and hearts of palm and lightly dress with the citrus vinaigrette

7) Arrange the slices of fresh mango on a plate, add the salad, and top with seared shrimp!

VALENTINE RASPBERRY COCONUT CUPCAKES

My decadent Valentine Cupcakes will have anyone falling fast in love with you after just one bite!

Cupcake Ingredients:

-¾ coconut flour
-1 teaspoon baking powder
-1 teaspoon salt
-6 eggs
-¾ cup agave nectar
-½ cup coconut oil
-3 Tablespoons almond milk
-1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

Fresh Raspberry Frosting Ingredients:

-1 cup fresh raspberries
-½ cup Vegan Earth Balance Butter or real butter!
-2 ½ cups powdered sugar
-1 teaspoon organic Vanilla powder

Instructions:

1)Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2) Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt. Then, add in the eggs, agave, coconut oil, almond milk, and vanilla until blended.
3) Divide the batter into cupcake cups in a cupcake pan and bake until you can pull out a knife from the center cleanly. They won’t puff up too much but make sure they are golden brown about 25 minutes.They will have a denser more decadent consistency than a regular cupcake!
4) Remove and cool.
5) To make frosting whip all ingredients together and chill. Frost cupcakes when fully cooled. This frosting is so good you will put it on everything!
